This class helps you understand how you interact with others during stressful situations, covering active and passive means of responding to conflict in both constructive and destructive manners.

You’ll complete a short online assessment before class so we can focus on discussion and interactive exercises to understand your results. You’ll leave class with a better understanding of 9 different triggers that can set you up for not being the best version of you, improved conflict management skills, and a planned course of action when conflict arises.

The Conflict Dynamics Profile (CDP), designed by Eckerd College, is unlike any other assessment tool in that it focuses specifically on conflict behaviors, rather than styles. It helps individuals and teams understand how they respond to conflict, what triggers can escalate conflict, and how to manage conflict more effectively.

Individuals at all levels of your organization can take the CDP to identify their conflict resolution strengths as well as specific opportunities for development. Strongly recommended for supervisors, team leaders, HR staff, hiring managers, and frontline staff dealing with the public, clients, and donors. If you aspire to be a leader within your organization or community, this is a can’t-miss.

NLC trainer Ellen Nastir, M.Ed.,PCC, BCC, CPCC, teaches you skills, strategies and techniques that can increase success in your work place and leave your clients, customers and colleagues even more WOWed with their experience of you!
