In the first half of this 3-hour class, which has been designed for executive leadership and HR professionals, Rob Lindsey will explain how and why your nonprofit organization can be impacted by your employees’ financial health—or lack thereof.

You’ll understand the economic reality many adults—your staff included--face today and your options as an employer. Once you understand how financial stress impacts adults and how that in turn affects your organization, Rob will show you how to formulate a strategy for protecting your nonprofit by protecting your employees.

In the second half of the training, Rob will teach you to identify fraud risk from cyber thieves, employees, and customers. You’ll leave with an understanding of how many fraud attacks are carried out and what makes you a target.  Learn the controls and best practices to prevent internal and external fraud.

After this class, you will understand:

  • Practices your organization can put in place to prevent the likelihood of employee/volunteer theft, assuring your donors and board members that your safeguards are up to date.
  • How to identify what could make your nonprofit a target for fraud from cyber thieves, employees, and clients you are serving.
  • Controls and best practices to prevent internal and external fraud at your nonprofit.

NLC trainer Rob Lindsey is a Financial Wellness Consultant  with Regions Bank. He has more than 11 years experience in the banking industry and has focused on financial education in the community for the past 5 years. Rob has a passion for educating Tampa Bay nonprofit professionals on key financial concepts that were not taught in school with the goal of changing lives one at a time.
