This two-part class dedicated to understanding Google Analytics will help you learn basic strategies and techniques for this powerful metric tool. (You only have to register once to attend both sessions!)
You will learn:
- what Google sees from your online activity
- where people are coming from when they land on your nonprofit's website
- what did they do while on your site
- where they go when they leave your site
- how to use Google AdWords
In Session 1, you will learn how to set up Google Analytics to capture the information you need and want to know--and how to filter out what you don't. Discussion will cover available tools and how they work. You will set up Google Analytics to capture data to be reviewed in the second session.
In Session 2, Bryn Warner, CFRE will lead you through a thorough review of your analytics, including how to read them, what they mean, and what to do with the valuable information you've just gleaned to improve your online strategy and its impact. You will leave this class with an action plan of next steps.
Be sure to bring back copies of your project to share with the class. In addition to best practices and tips, Bryn will lead you through open discussion and brainstorming for results and how to analyze those results. You'll also problem solve with website needs in order to build on results.
What to bring: To maximize your in-class experience please bring a laptop or tablet and your website's backend log-in information.
