Inclusion is the key to activating the power of the diversity in our organizations as well as the communities we serve. Many studies over the past decade, from the Harvard Business Review to Gallup, have all echoed that inclusive leaders are more effective at motivating their teams to higher levels of achievement.

NLC is proud to partner with Community Tampa Bay to bring you this brand-new, 4-hour workshop, which will focus on actionable everyday practices to cultivate inclusive leadership practices at every level of your organization.

Community Tampa Bay makes the seemingly intangible work of interrupting bias and increasing equity tangible. Their diversity education programs focus on relationship building that empowers inclusive leaders of all ages in all sectors of our society.

By participating in this training, you will:

  • Increase your understanding of the impact of exclusion – both within the organization as well as between the organization and the communities you serve.
  • Gain a stronger sense of your social identity and how it impacts your interactions with others through implicit and explicit bias.
  • Identify techniques and strategies to reduce exclusion, such as advocating for inclusion in moments of tension, miscommunication, or conflict.

This class is a must-attend for every nonprofit professional, and will be especially helpful for team leaders, department heads, supervisors, program directors, volunteer managers, fundraisers, HR staff, and senior staff members. For greater impact, bring multiple members of your team!

Liz Prisley is the Professional Education Manager at Community Tampa Bay with over 8 years of experience in adult education. Her training style is rooted Community Tampa Bay’s high engagement curriculum. Activity-based and interactive, this evidence-based training method is proven to lead to tangible behavior change.
