For information on the next offering please visit our current program schedule.

The Certificate in Volunteer Management offers a formalized approach to address issues in the field of volunteer management and teaches best practices relevant to today's volunteer manager.

This program is designed to meet the needs of the next generation of volunteer leaders.  The curriculum is designed by Hands On Network, the volunteer-focused arm of Points of Light Institute, and offers comprehensive information on effective volunteer management.

Participants will receive the Florida Association for Volunteer Resource Management certificate upon passing all six modules.

In this module, you'll learn effective steps for volunteer recruitment and placement and plan how to improve these processes.  You'll also learn of local and national resources that can connect you to prospective volunteers for your agency.

This module will help increase your knowledge of training volunteers to perform effectively and enjoyably, increase your comfort level in planning training for your volunteers and help you to develop plans for improving your volunteer training.

Customer Testimonies:

"I attended the training on Friday and was blown away with the information you provided. I came away knowing that we had plenty of room for improvement to get our organization in a better spot. What I didn't expect was just how quickly I would need some of the information. Thanks to the training I can answer that these things will be put into place by the board. Thanks so much for the training. There was so much information that I could, and would, easily sit through this training again!" Debbie Trent, Executive Director, The Cypress Initiative, Inc.

"I would like to tell you again how much I appreciated your workshop on Power Interviewing. I learned so much and began implementing it this morning for the first time! I felt so much more in control of the interview and confident with my new questions and with the 80/20 rule. It was my most effective interview yet!" Kim Dohrman, Interim Executive Director, Creative Clay Cultural Arts Center

-----

"We reached out to a funder and found money to help wtih the project we worked on during the grant writing seminar. I never would have asked outside of the normal grant cycle if Cindy had not given me the green light to do so. Thanks again!!" Rita Hattab, Community Relations Coordinator, MacDonald Training Center, Inc.

"Thank you! I have gotten so much out of that class and the Volunteer Management Training. Fran's class really boosted my confidence level on how to do presentations. I will definitely use that format and my bus story for all of my future presentations. Instead of piece mealing a presentation, now I know how to make it focused, interesting and personal." Marcella Ramsey, Volunteer Coordinator, Refugee Youth and Family Program
